Ryan Kane is the Vice President of Government Affairs and Business Development at Elusys Therapeutics, where he leads the company's global government affairs strategy, business development initiatives, corporate strategy, and public affairs efforts. At Elusys and throughout his career, Ryan has worked extensively with the White House, Congress, federal agencies, and other key stakeholders to advance policies that strengthen U.S. health security, biodefense preparedness, and national security.

Recognized for his expertise in biodefense policy, Ryan has played a leading role in advancing legislation, appropriations, and regulatory initiatives that enhance the nation's medical countermeasure enterprise. His work has included developing standalone anthrax preparedness legislation, securing biodefense-focused authorization and appropriations language, cultivating bipartisan and bicameral congressional support for critical preparedness initiatives, and providing strategic policy analysis on complex domestic and international biodefense issues. Beyond his policy work, Ryan advises on corporate growth strategy, global market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and business development initiatives, helping translate complex regulatory and government dynamics into long-term enterprise value.

Prior to joining Elusys, Ryan founded RK Strategies, Inc., a government affairs and strategic consulting firm serving private-sector clients across the healthcare, technology, defense, and veterans' sectors. In that role, he successfully advanced numerous legislative, regulatory, and appropriations priorities for organizations operating in the infectious disease, biotechnology, military healthcare, mental health, and infant nutrition issue areas. Earlier in his career, Ryan served as a political advisor, staffer, and consultant to United States Senators, Governors, and Members of the U.S. House of Representatives, developing extensive experience navigating the intersection of policy, politics, and government.

Ryan is also pursuing a Juris Doctor (J.D.) at Albany Law School, where he is building upon his extensive government affairs experience. He earned his bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University and now resides in Virginia.
